This Privacy Policy explains how Memoritory (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Wacky Duel mobile application (the “App”). By using Wacky Duel, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect a username and authentication credentials (managed securely through our authentication provider). We do not require a real name to play.
1.2 Profile and Character Content
You may customize your in-game character, which can include uploading a photo of your face and, where offered, other images used to personalize your avatar and character assets. These uploads are used solely to generate and display your in-game character and are stored on our secure servers.
1.3 Gameplay Data
We collect data generated through normal use of the App, including:
- Match history and results
- Answers to in-game questions and personal questions used for gameplay features
- Friend lists, friend requests, and online/presence status
1.4 Communications
If you send or receive game invitations, friend requests, or in-app notifications, related metadata (such as timestamps and sender/recipient identifiers) is processed to deliver these features.
1.5 Device and Technical Information
We automatically collect certain technical information, including device identifiers, push notification tokens (to deliver notifications), operating system version, and general usage/diagnostic data.
1.6 Crash and Diagnostic Data
We use automated crash reporting to detect and fix technical issues. This may include device information, app version, and details about the error at the time of a crash, but does not include the content of your personal messages or account credentials.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide core gameplay features, including matchmaking, live duels, friend connections, and match history
- Personalize your character and in-game experience
- Send push notifications related to gameplay (e.g., invitations, your turn, friend activity)
- Maintain and improve the stability, security, and performance of the App
- Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Third-Party Services
Wacky Duel is built using Google Firebase, a cloud application platform, which provides the following services on our behalf:
- Firebase Authentication – account creation and login
- Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database – storage of account, gameplay, and presence data
- Cloud Functions – server-side game logic
- Cloud Storage – storage of uploaded images/character assets
- Firebase Cloud Messaging – push notifications
- Firebase Crashlytics – crash and error reporting
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. You can review Google’s privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, and the App does not display ads.
Certain purchases of paid features may be completed through our website rather than inside the App. Purchases made on our website are governed by the website’s own separate privacy policy and terms, and payment information is handled by our website’s payment processor — the App itself does not collect or store payment card information.
4. Sharing of Information with Other Players
Because Wacky Duel is a multiplayer game, certain information is visible to other players by design, including:
- Your username and avatar/character appearance
- Your online/presence status to your friends
- Match results, history, and in-match activity involving players you are matched or friends with
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on secure servers provided by Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure and may be processed in countries other than your own. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access rules and authentication requirements, to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide you the App’s features (such as match history). If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can:
- Delete your account directly from within the App’s settings, which will remove your account and associated personal data
- Contact us using the details below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data
8. Children’s Privacy
Wacky Duel is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
9. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may store and process data in the United States or other countries where they operate data centers. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy with a revised “Effective Date.” Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
